UFOlogy is the array of subject matter and activities associated with an interest in unidentified flying objects (UFOs). UFOs have been subject to various investigations over the years by governments and independent groups. The goal of ACAPS is to ensure that additional study and analysis is given to the field of UFOlogy. In doing so ACAPS subscribes to the scientific method while conducting research. The scientific method is a way to ask and answer scientific questions by making observations and doing experiments.

The steps of the scientific method are to:

    • Ask a Question
    • Do Background Research
    • Construct a Hypothesis
    • Test Your Hypothesis by Doing an Experiment
    • Analyze Your Data and Draw a Conclusion
    • Communicate Your Results

ACAPS agrees with and adheres to MUFON’s (Mutual UFO Network) scientific method approach to UFO study: http://www.mufon.com/the-scientific-method.html . We invite further debate, comments, stories, and potential evidence in our UFOlogy forum.
